The Local Stigmatic (Introduced by Al Pacino!)

Introduced by Al Pacino!
Long known as Al’s “secret project” — a labor of love which consumed him for years with shooting and re-editing — Stigmatic has screened only once, at the Museum of Modern Art in 1990, until now. An unsettling and darkly comic one-act by agitprop poet/artist/Harold Pinter protegĂ© Heathcote Williams, which has fascinated Pacino since his 1968 off-off-Broadway turn as the lead. Two eloquent sociopaths roam London’s streets and pubs, quoting T.S. Eliot and Winston Churchill as they prod and torment strangers for sport. Here, Al delivers an unnerving portrait of a genuine misanthrope, matched beat for beat by a supremely understated Paul Guilfoyle.
