TELETHON 2013: The Nite Owl (feat. Father John Misty, The Gaslamp Killer's live score to Bruce Bickford's "Cas'l", and more!)

Portions of this timeslot sponsored by TAXI MAGIC and FLAMINGOSHOE

We slip into a vision of late-night talk show programs that only the Cinefamily could conjure up.
We’ve got L.A.’s own block-rocking, beat-bashing whiz The Gaslamp Killer performing his live score to legendary Frank Zappa collaborator Bruce Bickford’s phantasma-gore-ic, decades-in-the-making opus Cas’l. We’ll host folk singer/songwriter/deeply funny person Father John Misty, Jena Malone, James Urbaniak, a freestyle throwdown/slideshow from profusely prolix indie rapper Busdriver, a séance with magician Rob Zabrecky, the return of Everything Is Festival’s mash-up video game “The Terrible Machine”, and a presentation of sci-fi spearhead OMNI Magazine video rarities by Claire Evans (of YACHT.)

We also bring back original Cinefamily programs “The Most Outrageous Video Games” (co-hosted tonight with comedian Kumail Nanjiani) and “Childhood Haunts.” Whoever called it the graveyard shift never attended our Telethon.

This event is FREE — but here’s how to attend:
1) First-come, first-served. Just c’mon down! People donating will get put to the front of the line. We are asking people to RSVP.
2) Make a donation in advance! For anyone who makes a membership-sized donation, we’ll set a seat aside for you at the timeslot of your choice.
