SPECTREFEST: Tales From Beyond The Pale

From Glass Eye Pix — the studio that brought you The House of the Devil, Stake Land and The Last Winter — comes a loving homage to a time when horror and suspense were manifested in the minds of the audience, just as much as they were in the performances themselves. These audio dramas, performed before a live audience in the style of the old-school “Lights Out” chiller programs, take you on a journey through the shadows that hasn’t been traversed since the days of Orson Welles, Boris Karloff, and Vincent Price. Tonight’s program contains three macabre tales from authors Larry Fessenden, Glenn McQuaid and Clay McLeod Chapman — and in a totally immersive audio experience, features live music and foley effects (amazing how versatile a watermelon can be, when it comes to sound effects.) Cast members: Pat Healy (Cheap Thrills), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), A.J. Bowen (The Sacrement), Lance Reddick (The Guest), Joshua Leonard (Humpday), Kate Flannery (The Office) and Cooper Roth (Cooties). The estimable Chrome Canyon will provide music, and World’s Greatest Sound Designer Graham Reznick will supervise foley (yes, that is his official title.)
