Secret Screening of the new horror film from director Hideo Nakata (Ringu, Dark Water), co-presented by The Cinefamily, followed by a Q&A with Hideo Nakata in person! This event is the kickoff of USC’s “Nikkatsu at 100: A Centennial of Japanese Cinema” series, and starts with opening remarks by Elizabeth M. Daley (Dean, USC School of Cinematic Arts), Akira Mizuta Lippit (Ph.D., Professor of Critical Studies, USC School of Cinematic Arts), Naoki Sato (President/CEO, Nikkatsu Corporation) and Jun Niimi (Consul General of Japan in Los Angeles.) Plus, the screening is followed by a catered reception and live DJs in Queen’s Courtyard!
