Greg Proops (one of the most mind-warpingly quick-draw improv comics on earth) records his monthly Film Club podcast live — and then it’s time for Pillow Talk. Greg sez: “The staightest gay comedy of all time or the gayest straight comedy of all time. Rock Hudson is s hunky songwriter who shares a party line with sassy carrer woman and desinger Doris Day. A party line is where you have to share a phone line. This is the 50′s when pregnancy and sex are still a mystery. Rock gets along quite well with the ladies but can’t resist messing with Doris Day and her prissy ways. he makes her fall in love with him but, we are getting ahead of ourselves. The divine Tony Randall as the best friend, movie-helper Thelma Ritter as the hungover maid and Marcel Dalio the croupier from Casablanca as the French designer. This movie is overcast, shot in bright pink and has Rock Hudson singing. Do not miss.”

Dir. Michael Gordon, 1959, 35mm, 102 min.

Q: Does Greg talk over the movies, like the Benson Interruption?
A: No. It is a recording of his podcast, followed by a screening of the film.
