So, once every month or two, The Cinefamily presents a “members-only” screening for the inner circle — those who have officially joined The Cinefamily through a complicated series of rites: filling out a form, showing us an ID, and purchasing a membership. Our Bela Tarr retrospective culminates in this, one of the most legendary art film experiences of the last several decades. Cinefamily will screen all 7 1/2 hours of Tarr’s 1994 magnum opus (in 35mm!), preceded by a Members’ potluck luncheon, and two intermission breaks throughout the day.
