AUDIODROME: Vol. 1 - Terminal Vortex (feat. Kid606 record release party!)

Co-presented by WOAH & Tigerbeat6

We’ve long been fans of live score events, and with years of them under our belt, it’s time to push that form even further into unexplored territories. Enter AUDIODROME: a new playground for forward-thinking A/V remixes and fresh takes on the live score phenomenon.

The first Audiodrome session does double duty as the residency’s kickoff and as a record release party for Kid606, who, for almost twenty years, has fused inspirations from the best of electronica, punk, hiphop, bass, dancehall and techno with a love of pop culture that Andy Warhol would approve of. Apart from running the labels Tigerbeat6, Shockout, and Tigerbass, Kid606 has performed all around the world many times over, and released records on highly regarded labels such as Ipecac, Wichita, Mille Plateaux, Fatcat, Souljazz, and Carpark. His highly original productions helped spearhead and define edgy and confrontational glitch/mashup styles that are now commonplace in modern music production. Kid606’s new album on Tigerbeat6, Bored of Excitement, drops May 19th!
